Story of Desart
Hi, I’m Mark Desart—a wedding photographer and filmmaker born in 1991. I’ve been working professionally in photography and video since 2019.
After years of shooting weddings with two cameras, I kept running into the same issue: there just wasn’t a camera strap that truly worked for my needs. I wanted something comfortable, reliable, and fast—especially with a proper quick-release system. But nothing like that existed. So, I decided to create my own.
The first prototype came to life in my garage. As a longtime fan of Falcam’s gear, I took a shot in the dark and reached out to them about a possible collaboration. Honestly, I didn’t expect a reply. But they said yes—and together, we launched the Desart x Falcam Dual Camera Strap.
Today, I’ve expanded the lineup with three original products, partnered with photo stores, and continue to work closely with Falcam. My gear is now used by photographers and videographers all over the world.
And it all started with a strap I couldn’t find—so I built it myself.
